This is one of the largest National Parks with nearly 2,000 square kilometres of beautiful protected countryside. There are numerous golf courses scattered around the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding regions, that give golfers a fair golfing challenge coupled with fantastic scenery as you play. Golfing holidays are very popular in this region with a number of courses spread across the dales. Addingham, Bracken, Ilkley, Bentham, Otley, Richmond, Ingleton, Keighly, Settle, Silsden, Kirkby Lonsdale, Casterton and Skipton are all offer superb 18 hole golf courses.

Bedale is an attractive market town two miles west of the A1 in North Yorkshire. The golf club is situated at the west end of the main street on the left hand side of the A684 to Leyburn and just past the grounds of Bedale Hall.
Visitors and visiting parties are very welcome at Bedale with excellent golf and food packages available to suit every budget. We offer excellent value to both small societies (minimum eight golfers) and large corporate events alike.

Now is the time to join Bedale Golf Club! The club is a friendly members club with very active gents, ladies, seniors, rabbits and junior sections offering every new member whatever their ability, lots of opportunity to play both competitive and social golf.

The golf course is set on a parkland landscape with many mature trees. The club was founded in 1894 and has been in its current location since 1969 having previously been located at Bedale Park, and at Firby Road. From the competition tees Bedale Golf Course is a testing 18 hole, 6610 yard, par and SSS 72. Its reputation continues to grow as new features are introduced and it has now become a regular venue for many prestigious regional competitions. In the September 2007 edition of Golf Monthly magazine Bedale Golf Course was featured as one of the six best courses in Yorkshire and in September 2009 the Club hosted the Yorkshire Golf Union Inter District Championship with the best 48 amateur golfers in the county. Bedale Golf Club is affiliated to the Harrogate Union of Golf Clubs who won this event for the first time in its 36 year history.

The Howgill fells form a spectacular back drop to the golf course making it one of the most relaxing and scenic courses in North England. Enjoy views of The Lune Valley, Holme Fells and Dentdale whilst making your way around the course, as well as views over the quaint market town Sedbergh.

The rivers of Dee and Rawthey are two tranquil rivers running through the heart of the course adding not only to the beauty of the course but the challenge too.

Each and every one of the nine holes is very individual, each bursting with character. Different tee positions for the back-nine make Sedbergh Golf Club one of the most interesting nine hole courses in the country.
