A drive from our Yorkshire Dales holiday cottages across the 'Butter Tubs Pass' takes you into neighbouring Swaledale whilst the quaint cobbled village old Dent and the market town of Leyburn are within a 30 minute drive. The Lake District is just 25 miles away easily accessible along the A684 make our Yorkshire Dales holiday cottages a fantastic central location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District.

Directions

The holiday cottages are convenient for both the A1 and M6 motorways.

The M6 motorway to the West and the A1 to the East are each about 40-60 minutes away by car on the A684, making Cotterdales easily accessible for holidays and short breaks at any time of year!

From the North East and the A1:
Leave the A1 at A6108 exit toward Brough/Penrith/A66/Richmond and take the A6108 towards Richmond. Stay on the A6108 until Leyburn. Then take the A684 for Hawes. Go straight on through Hawes on the A684 towards Sedburgh. 2 mile after Hawes turn right to Cotterdale. Follow the Dale road to Cotterdale drive through the small hamlet. Follow the Cotterdale Beck on your right the cottages are on the right at the end of the small hamlet.

From the South East and the A1:
Leave the A1 at Leeming Bar and take the A684 for Hawes, Turn right at the T-junction in Bedale and follow signs for Leyburn where you turn left at the Bolton Arms mini-roundabout. Go straight on through Hawes on the A684 towards Sedburgh. 2 mile after Hawes turn right to Cotterdale. Follow the Dale road to Cotterdale drive through the small hamlet. Follow the Cotterdale Beck on your right the cottages are on the right at the end of the small hamlet

From M6 Northbound:
Leave the M6 at Junction 34 and head for Hawes via Ingleton. 14 miles after Ingleton. Turn left to Cotterdale. Follow the Dale road to Cotterdale drive through the small hamlet. Follow the Cotterdale Beck on your right the cottages are on the right at the end of the small hamlet.

From M6 Southbound:
Leave the M6 at Junction 37 and head for Hawes through Sedburgh, on the A684. 14 miles on from Sedburgh. Turn left to Cotterdale. Follow the Dale road to Cotterdale drive through the small hamlet. Follow the Cotterdale Beck on your right the cottages are on the right at the end of the small hamlet.
